Dr. Alocilja will share her experiences in inspiring the next generation of innovators faced with solving challenging problems and needs facing communities in developing countries around the world. Dr. Alocilja will use examples of expired patents to show how teachers can use this as a powerful learning tool to inspre students think about making improvements to inventions and/or re-purposing old inventions into new ones. Dr. Alocilja has a number of patents that cover
